Oyster Harbour Catchment Group are hosting a Community Tree Planting day to celebrate 30 years of National Tree Day! At this site in East Kendenup many years of sheep grazing and a catastrophic fire in 2003 has caused degradation of a low-lying area adjacent to the Stirling Range National Park, with funding from Rio Tinto and strong support from the landmanager we have fenced off this area and aim to restore its function by planting native trees, shrubs and sedges. Creating further habitat for local threatened species such as the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo and enhancing a corridor to the Stirling Ranges.

Date: Sunday 26th July
Location: Stirling Range Entry, Red Gum Pass Road KENDENUP
Time: 930am to 2pm

What to bring: Appropriate outdoors attire, sturdy boots and/or gumboots. Water and snacks. Though additional water will be available to fill bottles. A BBQ lunch will be provided between 11am - 1pm.
