December 2023: Oyster Harbour Estuary Forum

Our 2023 Oyster Harbour Estuary Forum was a great event. Nearly 80 people joined us at the Lower Kalgan Hall.  It was fabulous to get an update from all the amazing people working hard to discover and recover our harbour including the Healthy Estuaries WA (HEWA) program, Albany Senior High School guests, and guests from many different backgrounds including scientists, government, research staff, students, industry, community members and volunteers.

We are so grateful for:

• Aunty Gillies's Welcome to Country from @kurrahmia,
• the Great Healthy Estuaries WA team for updating us on the local estuary monitoring and catchment health,
• the Albany Senior High School students showed us their marine experiments to better understand our estuary's ecology,
• eating some fantastic food from Teede & Co. Coffee House Catering, and
• being able to talk to all of those present about what we've been doing as a community.
