Looking Forward, Looking Back: Farm Planning

The purpose of this project is to better enable sustainable farm planning. Allowing you to map the characteristics and issues of your individual property, gain a better understanding of managing these issues and plan any proposed works. Well planned  activities can achieve maximum benefits to both productivity and the environment. For large scale issues to be tackled such as salinity, flooding, pollution, waterway protection and improved to improve biodiversity, works need to be planned on individual properties this in turn has a positive outcome on the catchment.

You will develop a whiteboard of your property that will be based on an aerial map and other customable information including the potential on-grounds activities where possible. Register your interest to make you more eligible to receive re-vegetation, weed control, fencing and feral animal control (if your property fits the criteria). We are targeting the districts, Porongurup, Woogenellup and Kendenup.

What is required from you?
  • Become a member of OHCG (only $11 a year)
  • Answer a few questions

We would love to have you involved in this exciting new project and give you the opportunity to protect “your patch”. As a bonus, improvements made will benefit the whole catchment.

To register or for more information please contact Oyster Harbour Catchment Group on 9851 2703, email sheena.smith@ohcg.org.au or pop into the office and  have a chat.
