Who is Southern Grazer (previously Southern Beef)?
A network of producers and industry professionals involved in high rainfall grazing on the South Coast.
Aim: To fill the gap of extending relevant information to producers in the form of pop-up field days and short conferences throughout the year. Creating a forum to learn, mingle and share experiences through a common goal of increasing productivity, animal welfare and sustainability.
Survey 93 responses from all cross sections of the Agricultural industry with a substantial number of beef producers though to cropping, sheep, fodder production and Horticulture.
Location of interested participants from Albany as far as Gairdner, Cranbrook, Manypeaks and Frankland
This group started as Southern Beef in 2020, now renamed Southern Grazer to be more inclusive. Formed to provide short field days and seminars based on local need. Invites are sent by simple text message goes out to the list now up to over 200 and a texted is received back if producers wish to attend.
